How to Act in Emergency Situations

The educational series teaches safety rules and action points in emergency situations to save lives.

Experts: Oleksandr Chekryhin, Svitlana Vodolaha, Viktor Vitovetskyi, +3

The educational series "How to Act in Emergency Situations" is based on practical recommendations from specialists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Through short, dramatized episodes designed for parents, children, and youth, the series demonstrates action algorithms for critical situations: during fires, shelling, on water, under rubble, and in cases of chemical or radiation threats.

The characters of the series – a Ukrainian family – learn how to use fire extinguishers, handle explosive objects safely, clean up spilled mercury from a thermometer, and more.

The educational series consists of six episodes. Each of them includes materials and interactive tasks to help viewers better retain the information. Special attention is given to supporting the mental health of children and adults in stressful situations.

The educational series was created by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with the support of UNICEF, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), for the Diia.Education platform.
