Inclusive Youth Work

Knowledge and practical tools for creating an inclusive youth space accessible to all young people, including young people with disabilities

Experts: Massimo Diana, Tetiana Lomakina, Vladyslav Yatsuk, +14

The educational series "Inclusive Youth Work" combines theory, practical tools, and life hacks that youth space workers need to know to effectively engage young people in their projects and activities. Throughout the series, we will explain how to be inclusive and work with vulnerable groups, including young people with disabilities.

You will learn how to create architecturally accessible spaces, establish barrier-free communication, and inspire young people to become leaders of positive change. We will discuss the feeling of safety in space, the barriers young people face, and ways to research their needs. To the series, we are adding a practical guide where you can explore the tools of inclusiveness in youth work in more detail.

The educational series was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for the Diia.Education platform with the support by the Women’s League of Donechchyna NGO with funding and within the humanitarian response of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) together with the UNFPA Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and Advisor - Commissioner of President of Ukraine for Barrier-Free Environment.
