Media Literacy in Time of Pandemic
How to recognize lies, manipulation, and conspiracy theories on the Internet
Experts: Jerry Heil, Kostia Klepka, Alla Kostromichova, +4
At the beginning of the pandemic, a significant portion of the population was ready to believe conspiracy theorists and conspiracy theories due to the lack of skills in verifying information on the Internet. These skills are called media literacy — and you can easily learn them.
In the series, you find out how to recognize a lie or manipulation and how experts and bloggers can present false information. Fakes usually exert their influence through texts and pictures, and they touch our emotions — the main thing is to learn to notice it.
No more conspiracy theories — watch the series and stay calm.
The course of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine was created jointly with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine with the support of USAID.
