Experts: Anna Kyrychenko, Han van de Wetering, Maksym Kotsiuba, +13

"Urbanism" is an educational series dedicated to urban planning and architecture. In its episodes, experts talk about how cities appeared and developed, what is needed to make them safe and comfortable, and what the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine might look like.

Among the topics covered by the series: the study of cities and responsible citizenship, post-war reconstruction and the formation of public spaces, inclusiveness and innovative construction projects. Ukrainian specialists in urban planning and technologies, transport and landscape architecture, ecology and cartography share their knowledge. You can also listen to lectures by world-renowned urbanists and architects.

The series is available to everyone: both those who consider urban planning as a future profession or studying related specialities and those who don’t yet know anything about it. The speakers of the course explain how cities function and how they can be improved — this is knowledge necessary for all responsible citizens.

This educational series was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for the Diia.Education platform with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the "Urbanism" educational course in the framework of UNITY (Mriemo ta diemo) program, implemented by IREX in partnership with the NGO STEM is FEM.
