Youth Work: From Theory To Practice

Everything you need to know about youth work in Ukraine, in simple terms

Experts: Andrii Chesnokov, Nataliia Rudnytska, Olena Ursu, +9

Young people are our partners with whom we can change the country and create the future we want. This is the main goal of youth work in all parts of Ukraine. You will learn about the principles and values that underpin youth work, the challenges facing youth workers, and how young people can influence various processes. We will take a look at the necessary enabling conditions, also called the ‘participation pentagon’, for the realisation of the right to participation.

We will also examine the ‘ladder of participation’, which is still considered the gold standard for measuring young people's engagement. You will see how youth work is implemented in different communities in Ukraine and what forms it can take. Youth work can happen anytime and anywhere, so watch the series and join the community of youth workers who help young people create a successful future for our country. Or, you can create opportunities for young people and support their initiatives on your own, using the knowledge you have gained.
