Selecting the best teacher of Ukraine in the Choice of the Ukrainians nomination
The Global Teacher Prize Ukraine is a prestigious national award for outstanding teachers.
It is part of the global prize of the same name, founded by philanthropist and billionaire Sunny Varkey. In Ukraine, Osvitoria has been organizing the national Global Teacher Prize Ukraine since 2017. The aim of the award is to honour the achievements of teachers and highlight the importance of this profession in Ukraine. The winners and finalists of the prize receive wide public attention and funds to realize their professional dreams and projects, they also represent Ukraine on the internatinal stage.
In addition to the main winner, the award was given to teachers in various nominations, such as the Young Teacher or the Choice of the Ukrainians.
The winner of the "Choice of Ukrainians" nomination will be chosen by popular vote through Diia.Education. The winner will be the teacher whose professional story and approaches receive the most votes from Ukrainians. Voting is a chance to support and motivate the best educators in the country, because education affects everyone!

Vladyslav Akymenko
A sign on his office door reads, "Permission to be yourself." He firmly believes in teaching history through real-life experiences. Despite being just a few kilometers from the frontline, he never halted the educational process, even for a day, and worked closely with children who had returned from deportation in Russia.
Kateryna Korzun
She’s determined to break the stereotypes about rural schools. Despite being near an active combat zone, her students receive a top-quality education, use AI and augmented reality, and win competitions — because, as she puts it, "children from rural areas deserve the very best.
Yaroslav Fedko
Yaroslav is a physics teacher who began his career as an engineer. This allows him to integrate scientific knowledge into his teaching, making lessons practical and engaging while motivating students to learn.
Tetyana Tkach
Her colleagues call her 'the ultimate workaholic.' During the pandemic, she swiftly mastered online teaching and helped train others. Her favorite approach is learning through play. And to top it all off, Tetiana and her students won a grant to create their own educational space!
Olha Enzelt
From a young age, Olha was teaching neighborhood children in makeshift classrooms. Today, she helps her students achieve perfect scores on the NMT (National Multidisciplinary Test) and excel at educational competitions. She encourages them not to fear mistakes, viewing them as steps toward reaching their goals.
Oleksii Kachan
Oleksii incorporates edutainment and gamification into his teaching, using role-playing lessons, cross-subject integration, and virtual reality tools. He prioritizes his students' mental health and actively shares his expertise with fellow educators.
Oleksandr Dumyshynets
Oleksandr actively uses modern technologies in his lessons, including Minecraft Education, artificial intelligence, as well as video and animation projects. He not only teaches children but also continuously develops digital products and courses for teachers
Lesya Pavliuk
She began working with children with special educational needs before the NUS (New Ukrainian School) reform. Lesya develops and successfully implements teaching methods, finding an individual approach for each student — a crucial value in inclusive classrooms
Larysa Romanyshyn
A former chemical engineer, she created a unique teaching approach and transitioned into education. As a volunteer for a project supporting Ukrainian children abroad in following the national curriculum, she actively engages her students in global initiatives and nurtures their love for nature
Vladyslav Krongauz
As a student, he organized external independent assessment prep courses for hundreds of high school graduates. For the past nine years, he’s been teaching history at a public lyceum in the Kharkiv region. Known for his innovative approach, he develops textbooks, helps students reach new heights, and supports children evacuated from temporarily occupied territories.
