Democracy through actions. Module 1
How to be an active citizen in the digital age and understand how democracy works in practice in modern Ukraine
Experts: Irma Vitovska, Dmytro Shchebetiuk, Oksana Solonska, +1
The educational series will help you understand how Ukraine works and what our role is as citizens. You will get answers to such questions as "What are taxes spent on?", "What is democracy?", "When does the government become illegitimate?" and "Why do we need accessibility everywhere?". You will learn how to know and defend your rights and will gain knowledge on how you can solve real problems at the local or national level.
In each episode, you will find video lectures, animated stories with the course heroes' adventures, and infographics that will help you remember the main points.
Each episode contains an ethical dilemma — a question that has no clear or correct answer. And yet you will have to choose, both in the course and in real life. So make your choice!
If you want to learn more after completing the course, you can register and participate in an additional offline training program to deepen your knowledge of democracy and meet like-minded people from other cities. Apart from this, other networking events and internship programs will be available. And even more! Follow the course pages on Facebook or Instagram so you don't miss opportunities!
The educational series was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for the Diia.Education platform with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES Ukraine) in partnership with the NGO "Fight for Rights".
