Resilience for Professionals and Communities

A simple guide to Resilience Centers and how a comprehensive social service aimed at building resilience is being implemented in Ukraine

Experts: Inna Solodka, Oksana Zbitnieva, Liliia Sokoliuk, +8

In the series, we explain simply and clearly what resilience is and how a comprehensive social service for building resilience is being implemented in Ukraine.

You will learn what role the Centers for Resilience play in the social protection system, what principles they operate by, and what is included in the service. We will consider the regulatory framework, ethical rules, and requirements for the quality and accessibility of support. We will also consider who the Centers work with: what categories of recipients seek help and what features are important to consider in interaction. We will touch on the topic of psychosocial support and psychological assistance within social services, group work formats, and the involvement of volunteers as part of community life. We will give examples that show what support looks like at the individual, family, and community levels.

The educational series was created for the Diya.Osvita platform by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine within the framework of the All-Ukrainian mental health program “How are you?” — initiatives of the First Lady Olena Zelenska in cooperation with the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, within the framework of the UNICEF project to support and develop Resilience Centers, implemented by the NGO "All-Ukrainian Public Center "Volonter".
